PIRATES, SET SAIL - CREW ISLANDS ARE HERE!

One of our longest awaited updates finally drops today, and we can’t wait to empower crews with more then just a chat channel! This update is so massive, we’ve had to split it among 2 different patches. This first one will include all the basics of crew islands, new spawners, and more tools to give /crew some much needed love - while next patch focuses on Crew Battles!

Where is West Nolem?

About 2 weeks ago, we ran a poll for you guys to decide what content you wanted to see more - Crew Islands, Battles, and New spawners or West Nolem, which includes new quests, gem crafting, and more… and the majority ruled! You can see that thread for yourself below:

That said, we have plans to do development on both, but crew islands are absolutely our priority with the hype for the feature that we’ve seen!

All that aside, let’s jump into what’s new. It’s a big one!

CREW ISLANDS ARE HERE!

Every single crew on Uncharted can now charter a Crew island. To get started, have a Captain speak to the Captain that you originally spoke to when you first joined, then click on the new button for “Create Crew Island”. There is a small creation fee of 25,000 Gold - then your good to go.

All crew islands generate with the Tier 3 island template with a 100x100 border. Your border is dependent on your current Battle Points score - which currently will not change.

What’s included in crew islands?

  • A shared space that all members of your crew can access
  • An exclusive island that can be used for some new spawners (detailed below)
  • A Battle Points score. All crews start at 100 BP. This will serve a new purpose going forward.
  • The ability to house allies on your crew island as guests
  • Ability to use Proximity Guardians to give specific access around the island to specific crew members (coming soon)

These are just the start. We expect to development crew islands and the related features alongside other content in Uncharted for the foreseeable future.

To continue…

CREW RELATIONS

We now officially support 3 relations between crews, and have updated crew tag visuals to reflect these new additions.

ALLIANCES

Form an alliance with a crew to grant them access to your crew island as guests and a shared chat channel. You will be able to participate in Battles together and will not be able to do battle against each other. Allies will have a PINK tag next to their name and can be formed using /crew ally <Crew> by a Co-Captain or Captain.

ENEMIES

Making a crew an enemy will revoke them all access to your crew island, if they have any, and allow you to do battle with them when Crew Battles begin. Enemies will have a RED tag next to their name and can be formed by either crew using /crew enemy <Crew> by a Co-Captain or Captain. No invitation is needed.

NEUTRAL

The default state for all crews. Represented by a YELLOW tag next to names. Neutral crews can’t battle each other, but also can’t visit other crew islands. Returning to neutral requires an invitation when coming from being enemies and can be done by any Co-Captain with /crew neutral <crew>.

Your own crewmates will now be shown to you with a GREEN tag.

CREW RANKS

As mentioned above, crews now have their own internal ranking system.

  • Recruit - The default rank for all new crew invites • No special permissions
  • Member - The next level up from Recruit - No special permissions
  • Veteran - Grants access to the ability to start battles against enemy crews
  • Officer - Invite members and kick members
  • Co-Captain - Same permissions as Captain, minus the ability to disband the crew
  • Captain -The sole owner of the Crew

You can now promote and demote members in your crew using /crew promote <player> and /crew demote <player>.

CREW MAP FRAGMENTS

When a crew member dies, there is now a 10% chance that they’ll drop a Crew Map Fragment. These Map Fragments will have a purpose once crew battling is live - but currently serve as a collectible!

We hope you guys enjoy our updates to crews - with plenty more coming in the future. Onto the other new stuff for this week…

REVAMPED LEVEL /REWARDS

We’ve adjusted all Level rewards and increased the reward cap up to Level 100! If you’ve already claimed a level reward, you won’t be able to claim it, but you’ll start getting the new rewards when your next claim is available.

If you already passed Level 50 before this patch, you’ll be able to claim rewards up to your current level next time you sign in!

We’re not going to cover the new rewards here, but you can check them out in-game with /rewards!

NEW SKILL: SLAY

A new Skill Gem has been added to rotation! Slay increases the damage to all monsters you attack, by giving you a chance to kill them immediately when you attack them!
