But before you redeem it, it is needed for one of the many unique quests Uncharted has to offer. The only undead kit out at the moment is “Buccaneer” and it offers some hard to get items when leveled up. To level up an Undead kit, all you need to do is to redeem it. Undead kits are redeemable every 7 days and when you buy it, it give’s you a random amount of that kit’s experience, instantly boosting it up. Undead kits can be leveled up to level 10. There are now also Rank Kits which can also be leveled up to level 10. They give gear, potions and other cool stuff!

41

Before I Get Started

To get things started when you first enter the Vast Oceans of Uncharted, Port Nolem, you can do the command ./q or ./quest to enter the quest GUI.

But before I will show you how to complete all the quests (And side quests), I will go over everything else that Uncharted and it’s unique game play has to offer.

Crews

Crews are basically clans, people who are in a Crew have custom tags. You can make your own crew if your rank is Privateer or higher or join someone elses crew.

You can also do ./crew info [name of crew] to see that crew’s information.

44

The Open Seas / Warzone

First, lets talk about the Open Seas. When you first start out the server, you only have 1 out of the 6 (As of now) docks. They are Castle, Parrot, Skull Mountain, Gull, Shipwreck and Sword.
(Click on the blurred text to see the coordinates)
Coordinates of Skull Mountain Dock: x = -500 y = 26 z = -700 approx.
Coordinates of Castle Dock: x = -250 y= 26 z = -300 approx.
Coordinates of Parrot Dock: x = -50 y= 26 z = -500 approx.
Coordinates of Gull Dock: x = -650 y = 26, z = 510 approx.
Coordinates of Shipwreck Dock: x = -250 y = 26 z = 345 approx.
Coordinates of Sword Dock: x = -580 y = 26 z = 60 approx.

The Open Seas is a PvP (Player Vrs Player) Zone. If you are hit by another player, you will be combat tagged for 20 seconds. If you log out before the 20 second combat tag is up, you will instantly die.

When you are out exploring in the Open Seas, you may come across a chest with particles around it. This is a treasure chest. They come in 5 tiers; 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The higher the tier the rarer and better loot they give. The different particles the chest is surround by, the different tier of treasure chest that it is.
Tier 1 Chest: Green Particles
Tier 2 Chest: Blue Particles
Tier 3 Chest: Water Drip Particles
Tier 4 Chest: Purple Particles
Tier 5 Chest: Yellow Particles

To open a treasure chest, you hold right click and a loading bar above your hot-bar will appear.

02

The higher the tier the treasure chest, the longer it will take to open.
Once the loading bar finishes the treasure chest will appear in your inventory. To open it, all you need to do is get to a dock or use a recall potion and go to your island. Then you place the chest down and open it.
Sometimes you will score a jackpot and get a legendary item which will appear in chat. Treasure Trackers are a great way to find treasure chests and can be obtained via the ‘Buccaneer’ Undead Kit or treasure chests.
21

50
The Open Seas also offers ores which can be mined again after x amount of time.
Coal Ore = 45 Seconds
Iron Ore = 1 Minute and 30 Seconds
Gold Ore = 5 Minutes
Diamond Ore = 10 Minutes
Emerald Ore = 15 Minutes

Sometimes there is a message in chat that looks similar to this:

14

This means that someone has activated a Sea Gem. Sea Gems change the damage multiplier to either 0.5 or 1.5 for 15 minutes. If a Calm Sea Gem is activated while another Raging Sea Gem is active, they cancel each other out.
Calm and Rage Sea Gems can be purchased at the Sea Keeper (Located in the Open Seas) or found in Treasure Chests.
Coordinates of The Sea Keeper: x = -600 y = 30 z = -50 approx.

When you die in the Open Seas / Warzone you lose most of your items that are on you and you will have to wait a minute until you can respawn (Unless your rank is Captain or Higher). Sometimes if you’re lucky, a couple of your items end up with the Ghost Captain where you may be able to buy some of your items back.

Farming / Making Money

Now, lets talk about farming / mining and earning gold. A quick and easy way to get gold is to plant some potatoes or make a cactus or sugarcane farm. You can also mine in the Open Seas or use essences (That you can get from the miner) to safely mine on your island. Or you can gamble at the Casino where you have a small chance to win big! You can even purchase gold by using pearls which are obtainable by having a daily play streak or purchasing them off the store.

To make a small quick potato farm, put 1 block of water surrounded by tilled soil (Up to 4 blocks). Plant your potatoes and you have a small potato farm.
04

You can also repeat the same process for carrots;

As this is not automated, you will have to harvest your crops by hand.

Sugarcane farms however are automatable. I wouldn’t recommend doing so though as it is inefficient and you’re better off making a non-automatable sugarcane farm;

Cactus farms are different however and can be automated without any redstone, making it worthwhile as you can leave your computer knowing that when you come back you will have some cactus ready to sell and earn you some quick money. For a more in depth guide on how to make a cactus farm press

Guide to Cactus Farm

Materials:

  • Block of choice (I’m going to be using cobblestone)
  • Block of choice’s slab (I’m going to be using cobblestone slabs)
  • Sand (I’m going to be using normal sand)
  • Cactus
  • Fence Posts (I’m going to be using Oak fence posts)
  • Hoppers
  • Water
  • Glass (optional)

Step 1.
Create a platform the size of your desired cactus farm making sure it is 17 blocks in width, and any odd number of blocks in length. Then line the edges with your desired block. It should look something like this depending on how long it’s length is.

Step 2:
Replace the middle row of blocks with hoppers going into a chest and add water to the edges (Lengthwise). It should look something like this.

Step 3:
Repeat this diagram onto your platform (In a line)

In the end, it should end up looking something like this.

Step 4:
Then copy it onto the rest of the platform. It will look something similar to this.

Step 5:
Repeat the process upwards and you should get something that looks like this.

Step 6:
To stop some cactus from falling out of the farm, you can use glass to cover up the sides. If you do, it will look like this.

Hope you enjoyed this guide on how to make a reliable cactus farm!

By the way, the guide is copied from my cactus farm guide page at How to make a cactus farm (Step by step).

Another way to get money is to make a mob grinder (no spawner required), they are quite efficient if you make a good design. It uses quite a lot of resources so be ready. For an in depth guide press

Mob Grinder

Materials:

  • Block of Choice (I am going to be using cobblestone)
  • Slab of Choice (I am going to be using cobblestone)
  • Water Buckets
  • Dispensors
  • Redstone
  • A Button
  • A Hopper (Optional)
  • Redstone Lamps (Optional)
    Step 1:
    Place your block of choice down with a slab on top of it. Than place a ring of your block one block above the slab. It should look something like this;

Step 2:
If you want your mobs to be “one hit kill” tower up the ring of cobblestone to be 21 blocks high. If you don’t mind if they take a couple shots to kill only go up a couple blocks. I am going to only tower up 5 blocks, but it should look something like this;

Step 3:
Create a platform according to this diagram, the gold is where the hole for the mobs to drop is.

Than fill the dispensers with water.

Step 4:
Make the walls about 3 - 5 blocks high and then add a roof, it should look something like this.

Step 5:

Lead redstone into all the dispensers, it should look something like this;

(Dispensers are behind the light blue stained clay)

Step 6:
If you want a collection system for the mob drops you can add a hopper leading into a chest. it is so self explanatory I won’t include a screenshot.

Step 7: If you want your mob grinder to have an on and off switch, you can add redstone lamps and connect them to a lever which controls if your grinder is active or not, if the light is on it’s not active and if it’s off it is active. It may look something like this;

Step 8:
Decorate and make it go with your island theme! Here’s how mine looks for some inspiration;

Tip: To use this grinder, press the dispenser buttons so the water pushes mobs down, make sure to press the button twice so mobs can continue spawning.

Hope you enjoyed my guide on how to make an efficient mob grinder.

By the way this guide is copied from my other guide from How to make an efficient mob grinder (Step by Step).

As you may have noticed, I didn’t include melons or wheat. This is because melons do not sell for much, and are a terrible food source. And wheat grows too slowly for what it’s worth.

Mining in the Open Seas is also a great way to make money, especially mining gold as it sells for a decent amount. When mining, there is also a chance of finding an ore essence (Ore Essence can also be bought at the miner). These can be used on your island as explained above and give different amounts of ores depending on their tier (1 - 5).

Amount of Ores an Ore Essence give:
Coal Essence:
Tier 1: 2 - 4
Tier 2: 5 - 8
Tier 3: 9 - 13
Tier 4: 14 - 30
Tier 5: 20 - 35
Iron Essence:
Tier 1: 2 - 3
Tier 2: 4 - 6
Tier 3: 7 - 11
Tier 4: 10 - 14
Tier 5: 15 - 21
Gold Essence:
Tier 1: 2 - 3
Tier 2: 4 - 6
Tier 3: 7 - 11
Tier 4: 10 -14
Tier 5: 15 - 21
Diamond Essence:
Tier 1: 1 - 3
Tier 2: 2 - 4
Tier 3: 5 - 7
Tier 4: 9 - 12
Tier 5: 13 - 16
Emerald Essence:

Tier 2: ?
Tier 3: 3 - 4
Tier 4: ?
